inspired by yoko ono, i have been making “wish trees” in different places on this earth, always close to art. the idea of a wish tree is to make a wish, write your wish on a piece of paper and put it on a tree. tell your friends to do the same and keep wishing. in old japan they use to do this on a certain time of the year, when the wind takes the wishes with him.
make a wish.
write it down in a piece of paper.
fold it and tie it around a branch of a wish tree.
ask your friends to do the same.
keep wishing until the branches are covered with wishes.”
yoko ono, 1996
you can participate by telling me your wish (and i will put it on the tree) or you can go by your self and add your wish to the others.
the wish tree is a ginkgo tree near to the museum hamburger bahnhof, one of my favorites museums in the city.
